pronouns
Pronouns are one of the nine parts of speech in the English language.
A pronoun takes the place of a noun. The noun that the pronoun takes the place of is known as the antecedent.
An example of a pronoun is the word she. In the sentence the slut was so turned on that she ripped off her own clothes, both she and her are pronouns that refer back to the antecedent the slut.
